Endowment celebrates 30 years of achievements and societal impact

Amidst anticipation and under the esteemed patronage of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad, the 27th Endowment Forum is set to commence tomorrow, focusing on the significant milestones achieved by the General Secretariat of Endowments over the past three decades across various domains.

Amal Al-Dalal, Deputy Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of Endowments, has unveiled details of the forum during a press conference held by the Awqaf Secretariat. Themed “Thirty Years of Leadership,” the forum will delve into the societal and developmental roles of the Awqaf Secretariat, including its investment sector, endowment banks, and the promotion of endowment initiatives, reports Al-Jarida daily.

Al-Dalal emphasized the mission of the Secretariat, which revolves around strengthening the position of endowments, enhancing their assets and returns, and fostering community development and legitimate objectives through strategic planning and effective coordination.

Hamad Al-Meer, Vice Chairman of the Preparatory Committee for the Forum, highlighted the forum’s significance in showcasing the endowment as a robust model for addressing societal needs and navigating through crises. He noted that the event will feature the participation of seasoned officials from Kuwait and abroad, offering their expertise to enrich discussions and promote effective engagement.

The forum is poised to serve as a platform for exchanging insights, fostering collaboration, and charting a course for the continued advancement of endowment initiatives, underscoring their vital role in societal progress and resilience.
