Emergency police record 519 traffic violations in Capital Governorate

The Directorate-General of Emergency Police announced that mobile patrols carried out a comprehensive security and traffic campaign across several areas of the Capital Governorate.
According to the Directorate, the campaign resulted in the issuance of 519 traffic violations and the arrest of two wanted persons.
The authorities also seized two men on whom absconding reports had been filed by their sponsors, made two other arrests in drug-related cases, and detained three violators of the Residence and Labor Law, reports Al-Rai daily.
The police also seized eight wanted vehicles and impounded 21 found in violation of traffic regulations. One individual was also referred to the traffic police for further action.
The General Directorate of Emergency Police reaffirmed that such field campaigns will continue around the clock in various governorates as part of the ongoing efforts by the Traffic Affairs and Operations Sector to enforce the law and ensure the safety and security of all road users.
