Embassy of Nepal conducts labor awareness program

The Embassy of Nepal in Kuwait organized a labor awareness program on June 6, 2025, at the Costa Del Sol Hotel in Kuwait City.
The interactive event aimed to provide comprehensive information to Nepali migrant workers in Kuwait regarding the multidimensional aspects of safe, dignified, and productive foreign employment.
Addressing the concerns raised by the participants, H.E. Ambassador Mr. Ghanshyam Lamsal emphasized that the Embassy is committed to delivering services to Nepali workers in a prompt, simple, and effective manner.
He assured attendees that the Embassy is always ready to listen to grievances and work toward resolving them in coordination with worker representatives and the labor community.
The interaction session covered a wide range of topics, including service delivery by the Embassy, challenges faced by workers, potential solutions, and employment opportunities in Kuwait.
Deputy Chief of Mission and Counselor Ms. Sujni Rana gave a detailed presentation on services offered by the Embassy such as passport issuance, document authentication, travel permits, permissible and prohibited actions for workers, remittance literacy, and responsible use of social media.
Labor Attaché Giriprasad Acharya also presented on topics including the inclusion of workers in Nepal’s Social Security Fund, access to telemedicine services, and various facilities provided by the Foreign Employment Board.
The program was attended by representatives from the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Kuwait, local Nepali organizations, journalists, and representatives from affiliated wings of political parties. The event was moderated by the Embassy’s First Secretary, Sujan Bidari.
The Embassy reiterated its commitment to continuing such awareness initiatives for the welfare and empowerment of Nepali workers in Kuwait.
