Electricity Ministry warns of fake emails

The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy has warned the public regarding fraudulent emails sent to customers containing links falsely claiming to offer refunds.

The ministry clarified that it has no connection to these messages and does not send any links for refund requests. It urged customers not to click on the attached links, warning that these are deceptive attempts that could lead to the hacking of their bank accounts, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The ministry stressed the importance of verifying the authenticity of any correspondence and advised the public to rely solely on official communication channels for any transactions or inquiries.
