Electricity load indicator breaks 16,000 megawatt barrier

As Kuwait experiences an intense heat wave, the electricity load indicator today recorded a record high, exceeding 16,141 megawatts at 3:00 PM, surpassing the highest load recorded during the past period.

The increase came as a result of the high temperatures that exceeded 49 degrees Celsius today. Consequently, this increased the pressure on electricity consumption due to the heavy reliance on air conditioning devices.
