Electrical load in Kuwait hits record 17,360 megawatts
The increase in the recording of the electrical load index is due to the high maximum temperature that approached 50 degrees Celsius in some areas.

On Saturday, the electrical load index reached a record high of 17,360 megawatts, surpassing the previous highest load by approximately 240 megawatts, the Al Anba newspaper reported.
The Ministry of Electricity announced the failure of 3 sub-feeders from the main transformer station in Abdullah Port M, which led to a power outage in limited parts of the Ali Sabah Al-Salem area. Emergency teams were present at the site to take the necessary measures and restore electricity as soon as possible, as electricity was fully restored to the area later Saturday.
Sources in the ministry told Al-Anba newspaper the increase in the recording of the electrical load index, and what was recorded on Sunday until 2:10 pm is considered a record number, is due to the high maximum temperature that approached 50 degrees Celsius in some areas, stressing at the same time that the situation in the electrical network is stable, and things appear normal.
The sources called on citizens and residents to rationalize consumption and not use energy in the wrong place, noting that there is continuous follow-up by the pillars of the ministry to place electrical loads and operate production units.
