Egyptian Embassy celebrates Francophonie Month with cultural events in Kuwait
The embassy, in collaboration with the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Literature, hosted an art exhibition featuring 72 unique artworks by 36 artists from Egypt, Kuwait, Iraq, Lebanon, and Jordan.

• Chancellor Nora Abdel-Hadi, head of the Egyptian Embassy, expressed her happiness with the ongoing cooperation between the embassy and the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Literature, which contributes to promoting artistic and cultural connections between artists from various Arab communities.
As part of the celebrations for Francophonie Month, the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Kuwait organized a series of sporting and cultural events to showcase the diverse experiences of the Egyptian community in Kuwait.
The embassy hosted an art exhibition titled “Environment and Natural Life” in collaboration with the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Literature. The event attracted a large crowd of visual artists and art enthusiasts, featuring 72 unique artworks by 36 artists from Egypt, Kuwait, Iraq, Lebanon, and Jordan.
On this occasion, Chancellor Nora Abdel-Hadi, head of the Egyptian Embassy, thanked the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Literature, along with all the officials responsible for organizing the exhibition. She described them as essential partners of the Egyptian Embassy in organizing art exhibitions that reflect the spirit of brotherhood between the peoples of both countries.
She expressed her happiness for the ongoing cooperation between the embassy and the council, which contributes to promoting artistic and cultural connections between artists from various Arab communities.
She also expressed her deep appreciation for the artists from the Egyptian community and their role in strengthening social ties with Kuwaiti artists and all artists residing in the sister country of Kuwait.
As stated by Dr. Ibrahim Salam, the general coordinator of the exhibition, Egyptian artists are keen to participate in the visual exhibition because it reflects the diversity of experiences among artists from Arab countries.
Modern techniques and styles
He noted that the exhibition provides an opportunity for artists to exchange artistic insights and present their work to an audience of art enthusiasts and followers of the visual arts movement. This allows them to become acquainted with modern techniques and styles. He emphasized the important role of art in creating a unified spirit that resonates with and harmonizes across different environments.
Art serves as a bridge of communication among peoples
On his part, Mr. Wael Jaber, the Director of the Department of Fine Arts at the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Literature, stated that they are very pleased to cooperate with the embassies. He emphasized that art serves as a bridge of communication among peoples and a universal language understood by all.
He also highlighted the National Council’s role in supporting the arts, including the visual arts, noting that Kuwait is currently in a cultural renaissance after being chosen as the Capital of Arab Culture and Media for 2025.
He added that these events are important in promoting the National Council’s role in supporting artistic endeavors in collaboration with foreign embassies.
