Egyptian duo unmasked in Salmiya grocery store heists
The two were individuals were identified from social media clips showing thefts in the area. Legal actions are underway, leading to their deportation and barring reentry.
Under the vigilant oversight of His Excellency Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Acting Minister of Interior, the relentless efforts of the Criminal Security Sector led to the identification of two individuals from the Egyptian community.
They were recognized from video clips circulating on various social media platforms, depicting grocery theft incidents in the Salmiya area. Prompt search and investigation operations were intensified following the circulation of these clips, leading to their arrest.
All necessary legal measures are being taken, and cases are being registered against them. They will then be deported from the country and prevented from entering again.
