Education Minister: Cleaning companies’ crisis resolved and normal services return to education institutions

The Minister of Education, Eng. Jalal Al-Tabtabaei, announced the resolution of the end of strike crisis involving cleaning companies contracted with the Ministry, stressing the continuation of their work in all educational institutions.

The Ministry of Education explained in a statement that this comes within the framework of the ongoing keenness to stabilize the educational process and provide a healthy and safe educational environment for male and female students.

Al-Tabtabaei stated, that the Ministry of Education, under the directives of the wise political leadership and the esteemed Council of Ministers, has taken all necessary measures to disburse overdue financial dues to companies after careful reviews in accordance with the applicable systems and regulations, in cooperation and coordination with the relevant authorities, to ensure the continuity of providing services without interruption.

Furthermore, Al-Tabtabaei pointed out about the importance of cooperation between the public and private sectors, as cleaning companies are partners in providing a safe and healthy educational environment that enhances the stability and continuity of the educational process.

Al-Tabtabaei indicated that the ministry is committed to guaranteeing the rights of workers in contracting companies, in a way that prevents any future crises that affect the continuity of providing basic services in schools.

Additionally, Al-Tabtabaei stressed that disrupting the learning environment for students or disrupting the educational process is absolutely unacceptable, emphasizing that the ministry will not hesitate to take the necessary measures to ensure that all required services are provided smoothly and on time.

Al-Tabtabaei also highlighted the ministry’s full commitment to adhering to the rules and regulations governing work, and ensuring the rights of all parties involved.

Al-Tabtabaei added that the ministry’s priority is always focused on the interests of students and teachers. As it is committed to creating an ideal educational environment that supports academic achievement and aligns with Kuwait’s national goals to develop education.
