Dubai Police have arrested three Belgian nationals wanted for their involvement in transnational organized crime. The arrests were carried out based on red notices issued by Interpol and followed by swift legal procedures leading to their extradition to Belgium, according to a statement released by the Dubai Media Office.
The suspects — Mathias Akyazli, George Kim, and Othman Balouti — were arrested in a coordinated operation between Dubai Police and international law enforcement agencies. The three individuals had been listed as internationally wanted by both Interpol and the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Cooperation (Europol), reports new agencies.
Dubai Police emphasized that the arrests underscore the strength of international cooperation in combating global crime networks. The suspects were promptly handed over to Belgian authorities in line with legal and diplomatic protocols.
This operation reaffirms Dubai Police’s commitment to upholding global security and contributing actively to international crime-fighting efforts.
