Drug control seizes 34 kilos of narcotics, 10,000 pills, and firearms in Jahra Raid

Personnel from the General Department for Drug Control, acting on a tip-off carried out a precise operation in the Al-Oyoun area of Jahra Governorate, and seized 34 kilograms of narcotics, including 30 kilograms of chemicals, 3 kilograms of alum, and 1 kilogram of hashish, along with 10,000 Lyrica pills.

This is in addition to two unlicensed firearms and ammunition, and sensitive scales.

The raid led to the arrest of an unemployed bedoun, who had been storing the contraband in a vehicle which he used as a secret warehouse to avoid arrest.

During interrogation, he confessed to the charges filed against him and implicated his partner, also a bedoun inmate who is serving time at the Central Prison.

He admitted that the two of them running this illegal business of trafficking in drugs and weapons.

The operation underscores the authorities’ continuing determination to combat narcotics and organized crime across Kuwait.
