Dr Huwailah, Al-Wreikat discuss enhancing cooperation on child and family welfare
Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah held discussions with the Director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Lana Al-Wreikat, on ways to strengthen joint cooperation in areas related to children and family welfare.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Huwailah underscored the ministry’s strong commitment to reinforcing constructive partnerships with specialized international organizations, particularly UNICEF.
She highlighted the importance of exchanging expertise and best practices to ensure the provision of comprehensive care, empowerment, and protection for children, while also enhancing family stability and safeguarding their rights, reports Al-Jarida daily.
The talks reflected Kuwait’s ongoing efforts to work closely with international partners to develop effective social programs that promote child well-being and reinforce family protection mechanisms in line with global standards.
