Dr Al-Huwailah meets emergency team to review strategic stockpile, ensure supply stability

Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, met today the emergency team members responsible for monitoring Kuwait’s strategic stockpile and maintaining stable supply chains.
In a statement, the Ministry of Social Affairs explained that the meeting is part of its ongoing efforts to assess the readiness of cooperative societies and ensure uninterrupted supply of essential goods across all regions of the country, reports Al-Rai daily.
A key highlight of the meeting was a visual presentation from the Strategic Stockpile Program, which showcased real-time data and indicators on the levels and longevity of stockpiled commodities within cooperative societies. These tools are designed to aid decision-makers in making immediate and informed responses based on live analytics.
The meeting also explored projections for the coming days, analyzing consumption trends and studying consumer behavior to bolster proactive planning. Discussions included the activation of contingency plans, linking them directly to outputs from the central inventory monitoring system to enhance the overall efficiency and speed of emergency responses.
Officials confirmed that current inventory indicators point to a stable supply situation, with no signs of shortages or disruptions. Daily monitoring of supply chains is ongoing to ensure continued efficiency and adequacy.
Minister Al-Huwailah emphasized the importance of sustained coordination with the Federation of Cooperative Societies and other relevant authorities. She instructed the team to work closely with suppliers and cooperatives to maintain steady flows of goods and meet the needs of consumers without interruption.
