Dr Al-Huwailah, KLA to launch joint anti-drug campaign
Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, held a meeting on Wednesday with the chairman and board members of the Kuwait Lawyers Association to discuss ways to enhance cooperation in promoting community awareness, offering legal support to citizens, and improving coordination between the Ministry and the Association.
In a press statement following the meeting, Dr. Al-Huwailah praised the Association’s role in spreading legal culture and addressing public issues, highlighting an upcoming joint anti-drug awareness campaign aimed at educating society and protecting families, reports Al-Rai daily.
The initiative aligns with the Ministry’s strategy to empower civil society organizations and build strong partnerships to address national challenges.
She also expressed pride in Kuwait being chosen to host the International Federation of Family Lawyers (IAFL) Conference in March 2026, marking the first time a Gulf country has been selected to host this global legal event.
Dr Al-Huwailah noted that the honor reflects international recognition of Kuwait’s efforts to support and protect the family unit, seen as the cornerstone of society.
