“Disability Authority” to fill 40 supervisory positions after evaluations

Al-Jarida has learned that the Public Authority for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities is currently facing a shortage of around 40 supervisory positions, including managers, supervisors, and department heads.

The Personnel Affairs Committee of the Authority is actively working to fill these 40 vacant positions as quickly as possible. Once the annual evaluation process is completed, the positions will be filled through an automated system integrated with the civil service systems, including the “fingerprint” attendance and departure tracking system.

According to sources from the “Disability” Authority, approximately 2,500 employees across all sectors will undergo performance evaluations based on the Civil Service Bureau’s circular, which includes calculating total delay periods throughout the evaluation year. The evaluation is categorized as follows: 54% and below is considered “weak,” 55% to 74% is “good,” 75% to 89% is “very good,” and anything 90% or above is rated as “excellent.”

The Authority emphasized that the final employee evaluation is based on five key factors: individual performance, group performance, personal capabilities, the efficiency of supervisory position holders, and adherence to official working hours. It also highlighted the importance of creating a new mechanism to ensure fairness in the annual evaluation process, ensuring that excellent work bonuses are distributed to deserving employees without any injustice.

The sources also revealed that there were 27 cases of withdrawal and loss of citizenship among Authority employees, 25 of which were withdrawn under Article (8), with two cases of loss.

Regarding female employees whose nationalities were revoked under this article, the Bureau was contacted, and they were re-employed under assistance contracts. However, the services of the remaining two employees were terminated. The Authority emphasized that it adheres to all established protocols, procedures, and mechanisms for handling cases of nationality withdrawal.

In another topic, the sources confirmed that under the direct instructions of Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, the Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, the Public Authority for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities will ensure that the work of its medical committees continues uninterrupted throughout the holy month of Ramadan.

This decision comes after previous years saw the suspension of these activities during Ramadan. The move aims to prevent any disruption to the services provided to disabled individuals and their families. The committees operating during Ramadan include those for motor, physical, mental, psychological, auditory, and visual assessments, as well as committees dedicated to young individuals with disabilities.
