Digital transformation takes center stage in Kuwait-DCO virtual talks

Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya and Minister of State for Communications Omar Al-Omar held a virtual meeting Monday with Deema Al-Yahya, Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO), to advance Kuwait’s strategic engagement in the digital arena.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the discussion highlighted the strong and growing partnership between Kuwait and the DCO, focusing on accelerating digital transformation across member states, Al-Rai reports.
The meeting explored avenues to enhance collaboration in the digital economy, information technology, capacity-building, and the exchange of expertise.
Officials also emphasized the importance of deploying technology to support digital diplomacy and developing skills in cutting-edge domains, particularly artificial intelligence and sustainable development—key pillars for future-ready digital ecosystems.
