Deputy Chief of Staff, CENTCOM Commander discuss regional security

The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, Major General Pilot Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad, held a meeting on Thursday with Commander of the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), General Michael Kurilla, to discuss key topics of mutual interest.

According to a statement issued by the Kuwaiti Army General Staff, the meeting was part of General Kurilla’s official visit to Kuwait and focused on the latest developments on regional and international levels. Both sides reviewed the strong bilateral military cooperation and explored ways to further enhance it, reports Al-Rai daily.

The two military leaders exchanged views on the evolving security landscape in the region, emphasizing the importance of boosting joint military coordination to ensure regional stability amid growing security challenges.

The statement underscores the longstanding and robust ties between Kuwait and the United States, highlighting decades of strategic cooperation and defense partnership. Both sides agreed on the need to continue deepening coordination and intensifying efforts to counter emerging threats.

The meeting was also attended by Major General Saif Al-Hamlan, Commander of the Naval Forces, along with a number of senior military officials from both sides.
