Defense Minister, senior officials inspect work on T2 Terminal

. . . as part of Kuwait Airport expansion

Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Ali Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah conducted a field inspection of the new passenger terminal project (T2) at Kuwait International Airport as part of the country’s airport development plan.

He was accompanied by Farwaniya Governor Sheikh Athbi Nasser Athbi Al-Sabah and Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works Eid Al-Rashidi.

In a statement, the Farwaniya Governorate said the delegation was received by the Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation, Sheikh Engineer Hamoud Mubarak Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah.

During the visit, officials overseeing the project provided a detailed briefing on the stages of implementation, current completion rates and the key facilities under construction.

The briefing also covered the advanced services and modern technical specifications that will be incorporated into the new terminal.

Officials stressed that the T2 project represents a cornerstone in enhancing the operational capacity of Kuwait International Airport and strengthening Kuwait’s role as a regional hub for air transport and logistics, in line with the objectives of the “Kuwait Vision 2035”.

Farwaniya Governor Sheikh Athbi Al-Sabah praised the efforts of national and young cadres involved in executing the project, underscoring the importance of close coordination among government entities, strict adherence to international standards and completing the project within the approved timelines.
