Defence Ministry warns of fake social media account
The Ministry of Defence has clarified that a social media account circulating online and falsely attributed to Minister of Defence Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah is not authentic.
Official ministry spokesperson Colonel Saud Abdulaziz Al-Atwan said the minister does not have any official accounts on social media platforms, stressing that the circulating account neither belongs to him nor represents his views.
Al-Atwan urged the public to rely only on official Ministry of Defence channels for accurate information and to avoid sharing or relying on content published by unverified or unofficial accounts.
The ministry reiterated the importance of verifying information through its official communication platforms to prevent the spread of misinformation.
