Under the patronage and in the presence of His Highness the Amir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the national operetta “Deera Al Khair” was performed on Tuesday morning at the Bayan Palace Theater in an atmosphere rich with national pride and cultural symbolism.

His Highness the Amir was received upon arrival by the Minister of Education, Eng. Jalal Al-TabtabaEi, and the Head of the Voluntary Work Center, Sheikha Amthal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who is also a member of the Permanent Committee for National Celebrations and Occasions.

The ceremony was attended by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, along with senior state officials, reflecting the importance of the occasion and its place within the national cultural calendar.

Proceedings commenced with the Kuwaiti national anthem, setting a solemn and patriotic tone, followed by the presentation of the operetta.

The performance brought together groups of male and female students from various educational stages across Ministry of Education schools, who delivered a series of artistic tableaux combining music, poetry, choreography, and visual storytelling.

Through expressive performances, the students conveyed deep feelings of love for the homeland, loyalty, and belonging, embodying the spirit of Kuwait as “Deera Al Khair” — the land of goodness.

The operetta portrayed Kuwait’s enduring values of generosity, unity, and resilience, highlighting the nation’s history of embracing its people, overcoming challenges across different eras, and continuing its path of development under wise leadership and a cohesive society.

The production served not only as an artistic showcase but also as a message of national identity, reaffirming the role of culture and education in strengthening patriotic awareness among younger generations and celebrating the country’s achievements and humanitarian legacy.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, a commemorative gift was presented to His Highness the Amir in appreciation of his patronage and presence. His Highness then departed the venue amid the same warmth and reception that marked his arrival.
