‘Dasman Switch’ takes top health app award in Kuwait

The application promotes health awareness with the concept ‘Wherever you are,’ offering easy, innovative access to benefit community members.

The Dasman Diabetes Institute, established by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences, won the award for the best health application in Kuwait for its Dasman Switch app, according to Al Jarida newspaper.

The application was designed to benefit community members and introduce a new concept for health awareness, Wherever you are, making it easily accessible to increase health awareness in a smooth and innovative way that suits everyone.

The Dasman Switch health application is free to use, helping citizens and residents make healthier food choices.

Benefiting all segments of society and raising awareness

Dasman Switch received this award in recognition of its importance and the features and services it provides during the 12th Arab Media Forum, organized by the President of the Arab Media Forum on Thursday under the patronage of Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, the Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs.

The event was attended by Dr. Nasser Muhaisen, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information, along with senior guests, media professionals, artists, content creators, and influencers.

Dr. Faisal Al-Rifai, the Director General of the DasmanDiabetes Institute, confirmed that the institute is committed to keeping pace with development and creativity, particularly in contributing to social responsibility and benefiting all segments of society.

He emphasized the institute’s efforts to raise awareness about the dangers of unhealthy lifestyles and promote a healthy diet. This is achieved through the important nutritional information provided by the application on most food products, as well as offering healthy alternatives to those that are unsuitable, thus contributing to the prevention of diabetes.
