The event, held at Assima Mall, offered visitors the chance to consult with diabetes specialists and dietitians, gain medical insights, and explore tips for healthier living.
DDI showcased various research projects and studies conducted by the Institute, encouraging eligible individuals to participate and benefit from ongoing research initiatives.
The event featured booths offering educational sessions on proper dietary habits, pharmacotherapy counseling, physical activities, glucose and blood pressure testing, and vital signs assessments.
DDI extended its gratitude to Zain for sponsoring this year’s event and to Assima Mall for hosting it.
The event aligns with DDI’s mission to prioritize health promotion and awareness, highlighting the importance of prevention over cure. Since its establishment in 2006, DDI has been dedicated to organizing events and campaigns to raise awareness about diabetes and related conditions.
Dr. Faisal Hamed Al-Refaei, Acting Director-General of DDI, underscored the Institute’s commitment to raising awareness about diabetes, striving for improved health outcomes in diabetes management, and empowering individuals affected by the condition to proactively enhance their quality of life.
The primary objective of the event was to raise awareness about diabetes, promote long-term health outcomes, and empower individuals to take charge of their health and well-being. The event attracted numerous visitors and their families, who benefited from the services provided.
