Cyprus congratulates Kuwait on the occasion of National & Liberation days
On the auspicious occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the National Day and the 33rd anniversary of the Liberation Day of the State of Kuwait, I wish to extend to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah , His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, the Government and the friendly people of Kuwait my most heartfelt congratulations for the remarkable achievements that Kuwait continues to make to this day and our best wishes for continued peace and constant progress and prosperity in Kuwait and across the wider region.
As the Middle East is confronted once again with daunting challenges, I would like to reiterate the importance of Kuwait’s balanced foreign policy, its pioneering role in the global humanitarian domain and its continuing efforts to boost stability by promoting the track of diplomacy and the peaceful resolution of conflicts. Cyprus and Kuwait enjoy longstanding ties of friendship and have established close cooperation at the bilateral and multilateral levels built on a background of the common traumatic experiences of invasion and occupation, and on the respect to international law and adherence to the UN Charter and UN security council resolutions.
It is my sincere conviction that the excellent relations between Cyprus and Kuwait will continue to prosper and intensify in the years to come. Cyprus will spare no effort to help our relations propel to new heights.
