Customs staff completes training on advanced pallet scanner at Nuwaiseeb Port

The General Administration of Customs announced the successful completion of training programs for its staff assigned to operate the newly installed pallet inspection device at the Nuwaiseeb border crossing.
This move is part of the administration’s ongoing strategy to enhance the technical capabilities of its workforce by integrating cutting-edge security inspection technologies into daily operations.
The goal is to align with evolving local, regional, and international standards in customs control and to boost the effectiveness of inspecting goods and shipments.
The administration noted that such training is conducted periodically, especially in the use of advanced radiological scanning systems, which represent a major leap in inspection processes due to their precision and technological sophistication. These systems play a key role in detecting smuggling attempts and safeguarding the country’s security.
Officials stressed that this initiative reflects the Customs Department’s strong commitment to border security, as well as its dedication to developing national talent through continued investment in training and modern infrastructure.
