CSC limits public sector staffing to ensure continuity of operations

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, and Acting Chairman of the Civil Service Commission, Sharida Al-Maousherji, announced that the Civil Service Commission has decided to reduce workforce attendance in government entities to no more than 30 percent of total employees.
Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Maousherji said the decision will take effect starting Monday, March 2, 2026, and will remain in force until further notice.
The minister explained that the measure aims to regulate workflow across government agencies amid current regional developments, while ensuring business continuity and safeguarding the public interest.
