
His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, representing His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, held a series of high-level meetings with leading international business executives at the State of Kuwait’s Permanent Mission headquarters of the United Nations in New York.
During the meetings, the Crown Prince received Bruce Flatt, CEO of Brookfield Asset Management; Steve Schwarzman, CEO of Blackstone Group; and Jonathan Gray, COO of Blackstone Group. He also welcomed David Zapolsky, Senior Vice President, Head of Global Affairs, and Chief Legal Officer of Amazon.
The discussions focused on enhancing the presence of international companies in Kuwait, supporting economic diversification, and exploring new avenues for cooperation.
His Highness emphasized the importance of leveraging global expertise in training and qualifying young talents, transferring knowledge, and introducing modern technology to strengthen Kuwait’s development process.
The meetings also reviewed the operations of these companies in Kuwait and examined global economic developments, aiming to identify opportunities to expand joint cooperation for mutual benefit.
High-level officials accompanying the Crown Prince included Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, Director General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs at the Amiri Diwan Mazen Issa Al-Essa, Kuwaiti Ambassador to the United States Sheikha Al-Zain Sabah Al-Nasser Al-Sabah, and Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait to the UN Ambassador Tariq Mohammed Al-Bannai.
The meetings underscore Kuwait’s ongoing commitment to strengthening strategic economic partnerships with leading global corporations, diversifying investment opportunities, and positioning the country as a hub for knowledge, innovation, and sustainable growth.
