Criminal Security Sector busts Abdali liquor counterfeiting operation

Personnel from the Criminal Security Sector of the General Department for Combating Narcotics have taken into custody two Asians who were caught operating a large-scale local liquor manufacturing facility in Abdali.

The suspects were caught bottling and selling the liquor as imported brands, using counterfeit labels and trademarks to mislead consumers, reports Al-Jarida daily.

As part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal activities and protect public health, the authorities seized manufacturing and bottling equipment, presses, and substantial quantities of counterfeit materials intended for distribution.

All suspects and seized items have been referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal action.

The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying security and inspection campaigns across the country, emphasizing that it will enforce the law strictly against anyone involved in illegal practices that threaten society and public health.
