Court of Cassation upholds verdict in Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah case
The Court of Cassation has rejected the appeal filed by the Public Prosecution against the decision of the Ministers’ Court, which ruled that Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah and several others cannot be tried on charges of facilitating the embezzlement of 19 million dinars and possessing eavesdropping devices.
The court affirmed that the charges had already been looked into during a previous ruling related to the Army Fund case, based on the report submitted by former Defense Minister Sheikh Ahmed Al-Fahd, reports Al-Rai daily.
This decision confirms the finality of the earlier judgment, effectively ending further prosecution on the same charges.
