Court of Cassation directs Court Clerk’s Department to list appeals
Counselor Dr. Adel Borsali directs setting up of dates to consider the “Cassation” appeals registered before 2017 in additional evening sessions.
The President of the Court of Cassation, Counselor Dr. Adel Borsali, issued a decision whereby he assigned the Director of the Court Clerk’s Department to list the appeals to the Court of Cassation that were registered before January 1, 2017.
The Counselor also directed the department to prepare lists of each type of them, and what pertains to each of the Court’s departments, and also to register them in the Court’s digital system.
Moreover, Counselor Borsali also directed that the appeal files and their attachments be prepared and sorted in coordination with the technical office of the court. These should be then presented to the honorable counselors and heads of departments, each in what concerns him, in order to set dates for their consideration in the additional evening sessions.
The decision indicated that these procedures come to address the problem of the accumulation of appeals before the court, which are based on the authorization issued by the General Assembly of the Court held on 22nd September 2024, to the President of the Court to take what is required in the interest of work.
