Court delays case against Kuwait Football Association officials
The Criminal Court rejected the defence’s request for the release of the accused and ordered their continued detention pending the case.
• The Public Prosecution has charged the officials of the Kuwait Football Association with broadcasting false information that could harm the country, stemming from events during the Kuwait-Iraq match held about a month ago.
The Criminal Court, chaired by Counsellor Nayef Al-Dahoum, has postponed the hearing of the case filed by the Public Prosecution against Kuwait Football Association officials to the 28th session, where the Defence will present its arguments, according to Al Jaridanewspaper.
The court rejected the defence’s request for the release of the accused and ordered their continued detention pending the case. The prosecution has charged the officials with broadcasting false information that could harm the country, stemming from events during the Kuwait-Iraq match held about a month ago.
The trial sessions are expected to include the defence’srequest for the release of the accused and the hearing of witnesses who have submitted their statements to the Public Prosecution.
