Coop sector, government agencies monitor availability of essential goods in local markets

Kuwait’s Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah, affirmed that the cooperative sector — working closely with government agencies — is actively monitoring the availability of essential goods in local markets, assuring citizens and residents that the strategic stockpile remains stable and sufficient to meet consumer needs without disruption.
In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Friday evening, Al-Huwailah emphasized that all necessary regulatory measures have been implemented by the Ministry, the Public Authority for the Disabled Affairs, and the Supreme Council for Family Affairs to ensure uninterrupted service delivery, especially in light of ongoing regional tensions.
She confirmed that relevant authorities are maintaining close oversight of technical and operational processes, ensuring all administrative and logistical systems function in accordance with established work mechanisms and contingency plans. These efforts are designed to uphold service quality and institutional readiness across sectors.
Al-Huwailah noted that work teams continue to operate on a structured timetable to maintain high service standards, reinforcing Kuwait’s preparedness and resilience amid the evolving geopolitical situation.
