Comprehensive road maintenance underway on Fahaheel Expressway
Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan has announced the commencement of maintenance work on the Fahaheel Expressway in the direction of Kuwait City.
This project, the Al-Rai daily said, is part of a broader initiative involving 18 road rehabilitation projects across the country, aligned with the goals of “New Kuwait 2035” vision.
Dr. Al-Mashaan emphasized the ministry’s commitment to upholding the highest quality standards in execution of the road works, as part of a comprehensive plan to upgrade and modernize Kuwait’s road network.
Engineer Sultan Al-Otaibi, Supervising Engineer for the Fahaheel Expressway and Deputy Director of King Fahd Road, noted that the ministry teams are closely monitoring progress under the new contracts for full-scale road maintenance.
The scope of work includes soil stabilization and the application of three asphalt layers—Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3.
He called on the public to stay informed through the General Traffic Department regarding scheduled road closures in order to minimize traffic disruptions.
