‘Comprehensive emergency plan in place, no food or water shortages in Kuwait’
We have experienced more difficult times than these. Put your fears aside, this period will pass soon -- Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, affirmed that all relevant state authorities are implementing a comprehensive and well-coordinated emergency plan in response to recent developments.
Speaking to Kuwait TV during a visit to injured individuals at Jaber Hospital, Sheikh Fahad called on citizens and residents to refrain from filming incidents, stressing that such actions could contribute to spreading fear and panic.
He noted that Civil Defense teams are receiving reports continuously and carrying out their duties at the highest level of readiness to address the situation.
Addressing concerns about food security, the minister reassured the public that strategic reserves remain strong and sufficient.
He said he personally inspected several cooperative societies and the Kuwait Flour Mills Company, where production levels were found to exceed normal rates despite increased consumer demand.
He emphasized that water supplies are also abundant, exceeding regular levels by more than three times, affirming that no shortages of food or essential supplies are expected.
“No one in Kuwait will face any crisis or shortage of food supplies. Things are under control,” he said, urging the public to remain calm. “We have experienced more difficult times than these. Put your fears aside — this period will pass soon.”
