Committee to review academic certificate verification process at special forum

As part of the ongoing review and verification of employees’ academic qualifications and their equivalencies by the competent authorities, the Committee for Examining Academic Certificates of Employees in government agencies and the private sector — for both citizens and expatriates will hold a guidance forum on Wednesday.
The forum aims to explain the mechanism for implementing the committee’s instructions to specialists from ministries, government departments, public bodies, institutions, and government-owned companies.
Informed sources told Al-Rai that the session will go over the committee’s working procedures with attending supervisory and leadership officials, particularly regarding requests for equivalency of academic certificates issued by the Ministry of Higher Education, and clarify the various related aspects for government agencies.
It is worth noting that the Certificates Examination Committee was formed late last year to verify the academic certificates of all state employees to ensure their validity.
Some government agencies have already asked their employees to update and correct their educational qualification records to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
