Commerce Ministry urges exchange shops to comply by March 31

The Ministry of Commerce announced the suspension of exchange shops that failed to comply with the deadline to reconcile their status in accordance with the requirements of the Central Bank of Kuwait, before March 31.

Importantly, the ministry stated that, following the decisions of the Council of Ministers and the transfer of oversight of exchange shops to the Central Bank of Kuwait, exchange license holders must reconcile their status by March 31, 2025, in accordance with the Central Bank’s requirements. It emphasized that any entity failing to meet the deadline will have its activities suspended.
