“Commerce Ministry” affirms discounts do not nullify consumers’ return and exchange rights

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, reaffirmed its commitment to protecting consumer rights today, Friday, emphasizing that the right to return and exchange is guaranteed under Consumer Protection Law No. (39) of 2014, in accordance with legal regulations that ensure fairness for all parties.

The Ministry of Commerce stated in a notice published on its official account on the “X” platform that licensed commercial offers and discounts do not cancel the right to return and exchange, provided that the process follows the terms agreed upon at the time of purchase.

Importantly, the Ministry also emphasized the necessity of returning all benefits and gifts associated with the product, such as discounts, purchase coupons, and withdrawal coupons, in order to recover the price accordingly.

The Ministry urged everyone to adhere to the established rules and regulations to ensure a fair and transparent shopping experience.
