Come forward, report citizenship violations … or else
No matter how long it takes, the process has no deadline, finger will be singled out and identifie

As part of the government’s ongoing efforts to preserve the integrity of Kuwait’s national identity, official sources have urged all individuals who have falsified identity documents — or who are aware of forgeries within their family files — to come forward and report these violations to avoid legal consequences.
Speaking to Al-Rai, responsible sources stressed that identity forgers will be exposed and held accountable, no matter how long it takes. “The process has no deadline,” they stated, “and will continue until the national identity is fully purified.”
In this context, two decrees and one decision have recently been issued to revoke the Kuwaiti citizenship of 82 individuals, including those who acquired it through dependent status.
Authorities emphasized that anyone who has added individuals to their family file who are not legal relatives—or anyone who knows of such additions—should urgently report this to the Nationality Investigations Department. The department guarantees confidentiality and offers legal safeguards for those who come forward.
The sources appealed to the conscience of those involved, noting that rectifying the matter is not only a legal requirement but also a religious one, as tampering with lineage is forbidden under Sharia.
One official noted, “If you’ve added someone to your file who isn’t your child, don’t spend your nights in fear and anxiety. Take the initiative to correct the situation. And if you know someone listed as your sibling isn’t actually related to you, act before you’re held accountable.”
They explained that reviewing inheritance declarations can often expose forged relationships, since any rightful heir left out of such documentation is evidence of illegal inclusion or manipulation. Signing such documents with knowledge of false information constitutes active participation in fraud and forgery.
“Even those who are not the original forgers, but who knowingly remain silent about the falsehood, are legally accountable,” the sources warned. “We call on all citizens to step forward and cooperate with the Nationality Investigations Department to cleanse family records and uphold the law.”
