Young stars dazzle at FAIPS-DPS Annual Day cultural showcase

The auditorium at FAIPS-DPS came alive with color, music and youthful enthusiasm as Grade 1 students staged their Annual Day program titled ‘A Spectrum of Celebration’ on Thursday, January 29, 2026.

The event offered a joyful display of talent and cultural diversity, delighting parents and invited guests.

The celebrations opened with Kuwait’s National Anthem, followed by the recitation of the Holy Quran and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, setting a dignified and festive tone for the evening.

School Principal Ravi Ayanoli welcomed the Chief Guest, Ambassador of Liberia to Kuwait, H.E. Brahima Diakity Kaba, along with officials from the Ministry of Education — Ms. Maha Al-Ali, Senior Supervisor of Student Affairs, and Ms. Amna Al-Moamen, Student Affairs Supervisor.

The program began with a melodious medley of songs in English and Indian languages, showcasing the students’ ability to cross language barriers with confidence and clarity. An energetic retro Hindi song followed, drawing enthusiastic applause and energizing the audience.

A vibrant series of dance performances highlighted themes of friendship and diversity. Students performed graceful French and contemporary Arabic routines, while lively Zumba numbers brought infectious energy to the stage.

Indian cultural expressions added further color, with South Indian and Punjabi dances earning loud appreciation. The show concluded with a grand contemporary finale symbolizing unity and celebration.

From singing and group choreography to confident stage anchoring, the young performers impressed the audience with their poise. Their bright costumes, coordinated movements and cheerful expressions reflected the spirit of the event’s theme.

In his address, Principal Ayanoli emphasized the importance of partnership between parents and teachers in supporting each child’s development. He praised the dedication of the staff, noting that organizing an event involving around 550 young participants was a significant achievement.

Chief Guest H.E. Kaba described the performances as captivating, comparing the experience to watching a Bollywood production. He commended the children’s talent and expressed confidence that they represent the stars of the future.

In her closing remarks, Primary School Headmistress Mrs. Seema Bhatnagar thanked the teachers, support staff and parents for their continued cooperation and support in making the event a success.

The Annual Day reflected FAIPS-DPS’s commitment to nurturing creativity and providing students with opportunities to grow and shine beyond the classroom.
