Civil Service Commission rolls out vacation rules for July-September

The action aims to manage the surge in leave requests during the summer months and ensure alignment with the bureau’s operational needs.

  • Employees intending to take periodic leave during the specified period must submit a request to their direct manager by June 12, indicating the duration of the leave and its start and end dates.

The Civil Service Commission has implemented four regulations for employee vacations from July 1 to September 30. This action aims to manage the surge in leave requests during the summer months and ensure alignment with the bureau’s operational needs.

The controls implemented by Salah Al-Saqabi, the Assistant Undersecretary for Financial and Administrative Affairs, are as follows:

  1. Employees intending to take periodic leave during the specified period must submit a request to their direct manager by June 12, indicating the duration of the leave and its start and end dates.
  2. The direct manager will create a schedule to record these leaves, ensuring that the number of employees on leave does not exceed 50% of the total staff during that period. This schedule must be approved by the department director and submitted to the Administrative Affairs Department by June 19.
  3. Official leave requests should be submitted through the Portal system. If requesting advance payment of leave salary, the leave request must first be submitted through the Portal system, followed by submission of a paper form to the Administrative Affairs Department.
  4. The responsibility for monitoring compliance with the leave schedule in each organizational unit lies with the direct supervisor who approved the leave request and their immediate superior.
