“Civil Service Bureau” confirms monthly allowance for delegates to distinguished universities

The Civil Service Bureau confirmed that the monthly allowance of 500 dinars is granted exclusively to those on study missions enrolled in distinguished universities, as outlined in the decisions issued by the National Authority for Academic Accreditation and Education Quality Assurance, which specify the lists of distinguished universities and specializations for both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The Bureau added that, an employee on a mission or study leave has the right to choose the type of salary to be paid during the period of the mission or leave. This can be either the full salary with allowances or the salary only without allowances. In all cases, the provisions of the regulations governing missions, study leaves, and external training courses, along with the associated rules and circulars, will apply.

In conclusion, the Bureau continued that an employee on unpaid study leave is entitled to a book allowance of 350 dinars only, with the individual responsible for covering tuition fees and travel expenses.
