Civil Aviation urges travelers to enter accurate contact details to receive ‘flight alerts’
. . . warns against using agency details in passenger bookings

The Public Authority of Civil Aviation (PACA) has stressed the importance of travelers accurately entering their personal contact details when making travel bookings, to ensure flight-related notifications reach the concerned person promptly.
Abdullah Al-Rajhi, Deputy Director-General for Aviation Safety, Air Transport and Aviation Security, and official spokesperson for Civil Aviation, said passengers must provide their own phone numbers and email addresses when booking travel, whether through airlines or travel and tourism agencies, reports Al-Rai daily.
In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Monday, Al-Rajhi emphasized that travel agencies and airlines are prohibited from entering their own contact details in place of those of the traveler.
He noted that the requirement is in accordance with Circular No. 31 of 2025, issued by Civil Aviation, which outlines procedures for entering passenger contact information into booking systems.
Al-Rajhi explained that the measure is intended to ensure that all flight-related notifications — including delays, cancellations, and security or regulatory alerts — are delivered directly to passengers without intermediaries.
He added that travelers who find their contact details missing or incorrectly entered in their bookings may report the issue through the “Sahel” platform by selecting “Civil Aviation,” then “Electronic Services,” followed by “Air Transport Market Complaints,” and completing the required information.
Appropriate action will then be taken in line with applicable laws, regulations, and circulars.
