Citizenship withdrawn over duplication, forgery, and state’s higher interest

The Supreme Committee for the Investigation of Kuwaiti Nationality held a meeting Thursday, chaired by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, reported Al Rai newspaper
In a press statement, the committee announced its decision to revoke Kuwaiti citizenship in several cases, with the final measures to be referred to the Council of Ministers for approval.
The committee explained that the cases included loss of citizenship certificates due to duplication, withdrawal of certificates obtained through forgery or fraudulent statements, and revocation of citizenship in instances deemed necessary for the country’s best interest.
