Citizenship forgers are falling apart like nine pins, nowhere to hide

The Supreme Committee for Kuwaiti Citizenship Investigation, chaired by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, has decided to withdraw and revoke the citizenship in a number of cases, ahead of submitting the files to the Council of Ministers for final approval.
The cases include individuals who were holding holding dual nationality, as well as those who had acquired the citizenship on the strength fraud, false statements and forgery. Other cases involve revocation measures taken in consideration of the higher interest of the country.
Informed sources revealed that authorities continue to pursue forgery cases regardless of how much time has passed, stressing that investigations have uncovered individuals who falsely obtained Kuwaiti citizenship decades ago.
According to the sources, even those who left the country were not beyond accountability, as legal and administrative measures were taken against their files and associated cases.
Officials emphasized that the Nationality Investigation Department relied on advanced technological tools, modern tracking methods and solid scientific evidence to uncover violations, highlighting a high level of professionalism in handling the investigations.
The sources affirmed that the ongoing efforts demonstrate a firm approach toward protecting national identity and ensuring that citizenship is granted only to those legally entitled to it.
