CID men bust counterfeit perfume factory in Jleeb, three in police custody

The Ministry of Interior said personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department has arrested three people for operating a huge counterfeiting perfumes manufacturing factory in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh.
As part of its ongoing efforts to combat intellectual property crimes and commercial fraud, the Criminal Security Sector of Protection of Public Morals and Combating Human Trafficking arrested three Asians for manufacturing and storing counterfeit international and local brand of perfumes. The arrests were made ahead of the upcoming Perfume Exhibition, where the fake products were intended for sale.
In coordination with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Kuwait Municipality, authorities raided the site and seized more than 15,000 perfume packaging boxes and 28,000 filled bottles ready for distribution.
The counterfeit factory was dismantled, and the suspects, along with the confiscated materials, were referred to the competent authorities for legal action.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to protecting consumers and fighting commercial fraud in all its forms, urging the public to report any suspicious activities that threaten social or economic security by calling the emergency number (112) or through its official communication channels.
