In a festive and joyful atmosphere, churches across Kuwait held Christmas Mass on Thursday, welcoming well-wishers on Friday morning amid scenes reflecting harmony and coexistence.

Reverend Emmanuel Gharib, pastor of the National Evangelical Church in Kuwait, expressed his happiness with the celebrations, describing them as a reflection of love, peace and tolerance in Kuwait.

In a statement to Al-Anba, he said Kuwait embraces all segments of society, allowing everyone to practice their faith freely and safely under the care of His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince and the Kuwaiti government.

Gharib offered prayers for Kuwait’s continued security and prosperity, asking God to grant His Highness the Amir health and well-being and to guide him in leading the country toward further progress.

He stressed that citizens and residents alike practice their religious rites in an atmosphere of peace and reassurance, noting that ambassadors, diplomats, business leaders, and Christian and Muslim religious figures exchanged greetings on the occasion.

He added that the spirit of tolerance, love and peace prevailing in Kuwait is a blessing, expressing hope that these values will continue to flourish locally and spread globally, accompanied by wisdom among world leaders to promote security and stability.

Bishop Aldo Berardi, Apostolic Vicar of Northern Arabia, said that on the morning of December 25, the Catholic Church in Kuwait received a large number of well-wishers, church leaders, diplomats and visitors who came to exchange Christmas greetings and share in the joy of the season.

On behalf of the Catholic Church, he extended his sincere thanks to all who attended, describing their presence as a true expression of friendship, goodwill and social unity.

Berardi congratulated His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince, the government and the people of Kuwait on the occasion of Christmas, praying for continued health, prosperity and success.

He said Kuwait remains a shining example of hospitality, mutual respect and fraternal coexistence between Christians and Muslims, praising the atmosphere of openness and freedom of worship that enables religious communities to practice their faith in peace.

Looking ahead to the New Year, Berardi reaffirmed the Church’s commitment to serving the common good, caring for the poor and vulnerable, and spreading hope in a world yearning for peace. He prayed for God’s protection and blessings upon Kuwait, its leadership and its people.

For his part, Father Raymond Eid, pastor of the Maronite Church in Kuwait, said the country is experiencing an atmosphere of joy and happiness this Christmas, describing Kuwait as a land of love and peace.

He prayed for continued security and prosperity and for good health for His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince.

Father Eid said Kuwait represents a unifying home for all who live on its land, praising its generous people and wise leadership. He described Kuwait as a “second home” that provides the conditions for living in peace and expressing faith freely.

Addressing the world ahead of the New Year, he called for hearts to come closer together, urging an end to war and violence and appealing to world leaders to promote peace and harmony among nations
