Cholesterol drugs video, misleading, inaccurate confirms “Health Ministry”

The Ministry of Health confirmed today, Monday that the claims in a circulating video about cholesterol-lowering drugs are “inaccurate and misleading” and lack reliable scientific evidence.
Furthermore, the Ministry clarified that cholesterol-lowering medications available in the country are prescribed based on international medical guidelines and have a proven role in reducing cardiovascular diseases.
Moreover, the Ministry emphasized that measuring LDL (bad cholesterol) and total cholesterol is a crucial factor in assessing heart disease risk, contrary to popular claims.
The Ministry urged the public to consult medical specialists for accurate information and warned against spreading misinformation that could endanger people’s health.
Importantly, the Ministry stated that, to protect public health and safety, it takes legal action against those who spread misleading information, in line with approved regulations.
The Ministry concluded urging the public to rely on accredited medical authorities for accurate and reliable health information.
