Cassation sets Feb 9 to look into embezzlement cases of former minister

The Court of Cassation has accepted the appeal in form in two embezzlement cases involving the ministries of Interior and Defense, in which former Minister Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled stands accused.

The court scheduled a session for February 9 for the accused to appear and present his defense, reports Al-Rai daily.

The cases relate to allegations of misappropriation of public funds during Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled’s tenure as minister.
