Case involving a Kuwaiti, his multiple wives and 18 children shrouded in mystery

The Nationality Investigation Department is probing a complex citizenship fraud case involving a Kuwaiti man with six wives and 18 children registered under his file.
So far, four children have been confirmed as fraudulent, affecting 226 dependents, while two more cases are under investigation.
DNA testing, social media evidence, and digital records have helped authorities uncover the deception, including the use of a fictitious wife and alternate identities.
The investigation continues as officials work to fully expose the scope of the fraud and protect Kuwait’s citizenship system.
The Nationality Investigation Department has intensified its probe into one of the most complex citizenship fraud cases in recent history, involving a Kuwaiti man with six wives and 18 children registered under his file.
Informed sources told Al-Rai that the man has multiple wives — some currently married, others divorced — including one whose identity appears entirely fictitious. Each wife is recorded with a number of children ranging from one to ten.
DNA testing revealed that several of the children are indeed biological siblings, while the Supreme Committee had previously revoked citizenship for two fake sons, accounting for 131 dependents.
Two more names on the father’s file, with 95 additional dependents, are currently under investigation, bringing the total number of affected individuals to 226 connected to four fraudulent children out of the 18 listed.
The first case involves a person born in the late 1940s who has been a fugitive from Kuwait since August 2025.
He had added 15 children to his file, representing a total of 41 dependents. Authorities discovered striking evidence, including the listing of his Kuwaiti diwans on Google under his real Gulf name, entirely different from his Kuwaiti identity.
Social media posts, such as congratulatory messages on his son’s marriage using his Gulf name, further confirmed the deception.
The investigation continues as authorities work to uncover the full scope of the fraudulent activity and safeguard Kuwait’s citizenship system.
