Case of manslaughter filed against crane operator

In a tragic incident a worker lost his life when a crane ‘arm’ fell on him during work at the Rahiya site.

When the incident report was received by Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior paramedics confirmed that the worker had succumbed to his injuries, reports Al-Rai daily.

The police station was informed and during preliminary investigation it was revealed that the cable supporting the package had been cut off, resulting in the fatal accident.

The police investigator then directed the removal of the deceased worker’s body, and the crane operator was arrested.

A case of manslaughter has been filed against the crane operator.
