Capital Municipality removes 577 abandoned cars, boats in August

The Capital Municipality issues 417 violations and placed 3,610 warning stickers on abandoned vehicles, boats, grocery stores, and commercial containers in preparation for removal after the deadline.

Faisal Al-Otaibi, Director of the Public Hygiene and Road Occupancy Department at the Capital Municipality branch, announced that inspection teams carried out field visits in August, leading to the removal of 577 abandoned cars, boats, and scrap containers, in addition to issuing 417 violations, reported Al Rai newspaper.

He added that 3,610 warning stickers were placed on abandoned vehicles, boats, grocery stores, and commercial containers in preparation for removal after the deadline. Al-Otaibi stressed that inspection campaigns will continue, with no leniency towards violators of cleanliness rules or road obstructions.
